European Union Twinning Project for Turkey

The European Union sponsored Twinning Project titled 'Towards Improving the Investment Climate in Turkey: Comments on the YOİKK Reform Process” was executed by the Turkish Undersecretariat of Treasury and the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Report was published on September 30, 2006.

The Twinning Project, aiming at commenting on the progress and accomplishments of YOİKK(Coordination Council for the Improvement of the Investment Environment) program, served to bolster the activities held in the scope of the YOİKK process, and has added some new issues concerning the investment environment that need further improvement. The recommendations presented in the overall report and individual policy reviews provide a valuable reference handbook for the future reform agenda of Turkey.
